Good morning, everyone, on this delightful Thursday in the 901. Today, I’d like to share the backstory of how I ended up choosing Tech901 for my journey. So, let’s rewind and dive right in.
Let’s start at the beginning. It’s safe to say I’ve been out of high school for quite a while, perhaps longer than I’d like to admit. I wasn’t exactly the most studious student back then. After high school, I made an attempt at college but eventually decided to enter the workforce. A few years down the road, I realized I needed to acquire a valuable skill.
That’s when I decided to pursue a Class A CDL and embark on a journey driving trucks all over the United States. I had the chance to explore 44 states during that time. However, life took an unexpected turn when a family member fell ill, and I needed to leave the road to be by their side. I reentered the workforce, this time at a car dealership. Over the years, I worked my way up, from a lot porter to a service advisor, and eventually to parts and warranty administration. It was a rewarding journey, but I digress.
After many years in the workforce, I got married and took on a new job at a factory. However, I quickly found myself disheartened, not because of the work itself, but because I observed skilled workers being passed over for promotions while new hires earned more than those who had devoted years to the company. This situation lit a fire under me and drove me to seek an alternative path—a way to retire one day while contributing to something larger than myself.
So, I started seeking advice from friends, and it didn’t take long for one of them to introduce me to the world of IT certifications and mention Tech901. With this newfound knowledge, I enrolled in the IT Foundations course, with a keen focus on obtaining my CompTIA A+ certification. From that point forward, there was only one direction to go—upward. I’m now on a determined path to achieve my goals and strive for greatness.
